The Bereavement Counselling Charity is dedicated to providing affordable counselling to people who have been bereaved. Our counsellors volunteer across the Havant Borough, East Hampshire, and North Portsmouth supporting local families in their journey of grief and loss for someone who was significant in their life.

Assistant Treasurer

This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a treasurer role and learn how to ensure effective resourcing for a business strategy and operational plans or if you have already mastered these skills then put them into practice doing something good for the community.  Find out more

Trustee Board Members

We are looking for new, enthusiastic people to join our Trustee Board to develop the Charity for a sustainable future.

Would you like to lead, guide and support the work of a small local charity offering counselling to bereaved people and you have experience or skills in the following areas?

  • IT

  • Marketing and specifically social media

  • Governance

  • Policy development

  • Funding and fundraising

Secretary to Trustees

The Bereavement Counselling Charity is seeking a Secretary to support the Trustee Board with administration tasks and governance.  This is a voluntary role which requires someone who enjoys administrative tasks, taking minutes, working with others and on their own, and enjoys volunteering for an organisation supporting local people.    See Job Description

Volunteer Counsellors

Throughout the year we recruit Counsellors both qualified and part qualified to join our team.  All counsellors attend our Bereavement Counselling - Essentials course prior to working with us.  This course is available periodically during the year, so please do contact us to be included on the waiting list for our next course.        Find out more information
