Get help with bereavement

Taking the first step is the hardest

Helping people cope with bereavement

Losing someone significant is not easy and no matter what people say, we are all different and many may not understand what you are going through.  We all experience grief and bereavement in our own way and that is why it is important for you to talk to someone who will listen, without judging you, to help you come to terms with your loss.

How does counselling work?

Counselling gives time and space for you to express your feelings in a safe and accepting environment. It enables you to explore your own reactions to bereavement which often helps to bring a clearer understanding and enables you to live with your loss. Counselling is available within your own home or via Zoom with a trained Counsellor.

How  much does it cost?

We are here to help everyone who needs our services.  However, we do ask all our clients if they are able to make a donation towards their counselling sessions as this will help us to continue to support those in need.

Who is the Bereavement Counselling Charity?

We are a registered, non-profit, charity formed in 1989 with the sole purpose of helping people come to terms with their loss by providing counselling services.  We offer at home counselling in Portsmouth, Havant, Hayling Island, Waterlooville, Petersfield and Denmead and across Hampshire via Zoom.
